Sustainable style crush with kimgoeseko
Kim Gerlach, better known as kimgoeseko is not only a sustainable style icon of ours, but an inspirational woman of many many talents. She writes her own poetry, inspires us with her Scandinavian aesthetics and is an avid explorer of sustainable stores of Malmö, Sweden. She has even produced a completely free conscious closet guide to get you started on your fair fashion journey. In our opinion, she runs one of the most aesthetically-pleasing, interesting, sustainability focused blogs, ever. Plus, judging from her insta, she loves yellow just as much as we do. We approve!
Kim’s style is sleek, minimalist, yet never boring. Below you can find some of the essentials of her style that we absolutely adore – all sustainable, of course.
Black slacks with Berlin appropriate autumn boots paired with a cosy knit. Kim’s thrown over a long draping black coat to pull the outfit together. Simple, yet effective.
All black simplicity
All black isn’t boring, it’s sleek, sophisticated, and Kim spins it perfectly for everyday outfits. These three outfits may all consist of the same colour, but they’re differing in style. The little black dress with a pair of white trainers is our favourite – it doesn’t get easier than that, yet it looks so good. It’s a perfect look for Summer city exploring.
All white summer
All white seems to be a theme among Kim’s outfits, and we’re happy about it because they’re all great. This loose fitting blouse tucked into a pair of white slacks is the perfect Summer workwear outfit. Or for something a bit add in a bright coloured top that sure stands out among the crowd. Worn with a pair of trainers, this might just be the comfiest outfit ever.
So what can we borrow from our style crush, Kim?
- Your elegant pieces can be casually twisted with casual shoes, like a pair of trainers.
- Be extravagant in shapes but not colours: a piece with a perfect cut doesn’t need much else!
- Don’t be afraid to go all-black or all-white, sometimes classics are best
